Cox’s Bazar. Correspondent: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-15) has found an arms manufacturing factory in the remote hilly hills of Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. At the same time, the hideout of the bandit group was also found. RAB raided the factory on Friday (August 19) night based on intelligence information. One person was arrested from there, but the rest escaped. Meanwhile, RAB’s raiding party also launched a raid on the hideout of a dacoit group there. RAB-15 Ops Officer, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Jamil, confirmed this information to the media.
However, the RAB official could not specify the quantity of weapons found. He said that a weapons manufacturing factory and a hideout of bandit gangs were found in the remote hills of Rangikhali in Teknaf Upazila. Right now, the RAB team has started an operation in Gohin Pahar. However, it is not known when the campaign will end. When the operation is over, the details will be announced through a press conference. In response to a question, ops officer Jamil said that a significant number of weapons were found in the factory.
This number can be like 8–10. However, I don’t have the exact information. Details will be known at the end of the campaign. However, one person has been arrested at the factory. As the operation is ongoing, it is not possible to release details about the person at this time. Everything can be said for sure, including the name, by checking. Next door is a bandit lair. There is an operation going on. In response to another question, the RAB official said that it is easy to imagine that Rohingya robbers were the big buyers of weapons made in this factory. Even then, if we can arrest all the gangs, the matter will be more clear. Nothing should be estimated now.
