Own Correspondent: By-elections will be held in Chittagong for 10 vacant seats on July 30. The Public Administration Ministry has announced a general holiday on the day of the election.
On Wednesday (July 26), the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard. It is said in the notification that, according to the demand of the Bangladesh Election Commission Secretariat, on the occasion of this by-election, the polling day, i.e., July 30th, has been declared a general holiday in the respective constituencies.
It should be noted that on June 2, the three-time Member of Parliament of Chittagong-10 Constituency, Dr. Afcharul Amin, died. On June 4, the seat was declared vacant by the Parliament Secretariat.
