Dhaka Bureau: After the holy Eid-ul-Azha holiday, educational institutions of all levels of the country are opening from today (Sunday). Despite the dengue outbreak, regular classes will start in the capital’s primary and secondary schools from morning.
However, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has given 5-point instructions to prevent dengue, including keeping all educational institutions regularly clean. An order has been issued with this instruction from the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education last Thursday.
The order has been sent by the directorate to the principals and field level education officers of all educational institutions. In order to prevent the spread of mosquitoes, it has been asked to quickly remove the accumulated water in the playground and buildings of the institution.
Regular cleaning of flower tubs and ensuring that water does not accumulate is advised. And the ways to prevent dengue have been asked to inform the students through the teachers.
