Dhaka Bureau: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said that the service quality of the police station should be increased by instructing the field level officers to carry out their duties with professionalism, dedication and honesty. Must behave well with the service aspirants coming to the police station. They have to fulfill their responsibilities with good will and sincerity in providing the expected service. He directed the police officers to increase supervision in this regard.
The IGP gave this order in his closing speech on the last day of the two-day Police Headquarters Quarterly Conference held at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh on Wednesday (November 9).
He said, the capacity of the police has increased a lot. Police has great success in controlling law and order. Police are capable of facing any challenge.
Referring to National Emergency Service ‘999’, the IGP said, ‘999’ has become a symbol of trust and reliance for the people. He called upon the police officials to ensure the provision of this service as soon as possible.
Additional IGP (Administration) Kamrul Ahsan, Additional IGP Special Branch Monirul Islam, RAB Director General M Khurshid Hossain, Additional IGP Highway Range Mallik Fakhrul Islam, Additional IGP (Crime and Operations) Atiqul Islam, Additional IGP Naval Police Shafiqul Islam, Additional IGP ( Finance) Shahabuddin Khan, Additional IGP (HRM) Barrister Harun-or-Rashid, DIG (Telecom) AKM Shahidur Rahman officials spoke.
The two-day Police Headquarters Quarterly Conference began on November 8. All Additional IGPs, Commissioners of Metropolitan Police, Range DIGs and District Superintendents of Police participated in the conference.
In the conference in the third quarter of this year (July-September) the overall crime situation across the country was reviewed and the necessary guidance was given to the field level officers.
