Dhaka Bureau: Argentina’s World Cup winning goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez arrived in Bangladesh for 11 hours. He arrived in Bangladesh at 5:30 a.m. today, Monday (July 3).
Martinez met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday (July 3) after arriving in Dhaka. During the meeting at the Prime Minister’s office, Martinez gave an autographed Argentina jersey to Sheikh Hasina. The funded Next company is the main organizer of bringing Martinez to Bangladesh.
After going there earlier in the morning, Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak had a courtesy meeting with Martinez. His wife and two sons were with Palak at that time. When he went to the office of Funded Next, Martinez was received by the former captain of Bangladesh cricket team and Member of Parliament Mashrafe Bin Mortuza. Mashrafe spent about half an hour there with Martinez.
However, nothing is known about what Martinez talked about with Mashrafe and the state minister. After Fundednext we were supposed to go to Nextventure around 11 am. But he reached there about an hour and a half before that. Organizers plan to send some photos and interviews to the media from the time spent at Next Venture.
