Sumon Sarkar, Gaibandha Correspondent: The driver Mizanur Rahman (35) and the passenger Abul Bashar (60) were killed in a collision between a bus and a private car in Gobindganj upazila of Gaibandha. The accident took place at Panthapara on the Rangpur-Dhaka highway of the upazila at around 6 am today, Friday (June 30). happens
The deceased Mizanur Rahman was a resident of Daudkandi Alipur area of Comilla and Dhaka Khilkhet area of Abul Basha.
According to the locals, when the private car that left Dhaka reached Panthapara in Gobindganj, the Dhaka-bound Palashbari Express collided head-on with the private car. Mizanur and Bashar were killed when the car overturned.
Gobindganj Fire Service recovered two bodies from the private car involved in the accident and handed them over to the Highway Police.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gobindganj Highway Police Station Aminul Islam confirmed this information and said that rescue operations were carried out on receiving the information. Two cars involved in the accident have been recovered and kept in police custody.
