He was born in 1951 into a noble Muslim family in Sadarbari village under Melandah police station in Jamalpur district. He passed SSC (Matric) with letter marks in the Science Department from Melandah Uzir Uddin High School in 1967 with merit. In 1968, he was admitted to Bogra Polytechnic Institute to study engineering. After the independence of the country in 1972, he passed the 1st division of the Diploma in Engineering (Power) under the Bangladesh Board of Technical Education.
On May 2, 1978, he joined Chittagong Polytechnic Institute as a teacher in the Power Department.
In 1994, he earned a BSc Tech Edu from IUT. Joined Chittagong Polytechnic Institute as In: Power. During his tenure, he performed his duties with distinction as the Head of Department, Controller of Examinations, and one of the members of the Driving Competency Test Board, Chittagong metropolitan area, formed by the Government of Bangladesh from 1996–2007. He was promoted in 2007 and joined the post of Chief in Power at Feni Polytechnic Institute on April 16th, 2007. During that post, he took charge of the principalship of the institute on May 3, 2007, by special instructions of the Bangladesh Ministry of Education. He retired on February 9, 2009.
After his retirement, he performed his duties efficiently as Managing Director and later Chairman of Mass Group. He passed away on June 13, 2019.
