Dhaka Bureau: The Department of Health has ordered that the full address of the dengue patient admitted to the hospital be kept. The address of the area and ward the patient has come from should be recorded in the hospital.
By doing this, it will be understood from which area patients are coming more, and it will be possible to take measures accordingly, said the Director General of the Department of Health, Professor Dr. Abul Bashar Md. Khurshid Alam.
He made this comment at a virtual press conference organized on Saturday (June 10) about the dengue situation.
He also said that we are ready to treat dengue patients. There is no substitute for awareness to prevent dengue. So everyone should be aware.
Director of the Management Information System (MIS) of the Department of Health, Professor Dr. Shahadat Hossain, said that the health department provides information on dengue patients in 53 public and private hospitals. Because the system for providing information has not yet been developed in all hospitals. However, 32 more hospitals are going to be added to this list.
It is expected that information will be sent from these hospitals to the control room of the Health Department within the next month.
In the press conference, the director of the disease control branch of the health department, Professor Dr. Nazmul Islam, the director of the hospital branch, Dr. Sheikh Daud Adnan, and senior officials of the institution were present.
