Bashir Ahmed, Bandarban Correspondent: Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh, Minister of the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, has inaugurated various development projects at the cost of Tk 7.15 million for the implementation of Hill Development Board in Bandarban. He was present as the chief guest and inaugurated these projects today Friday (June 09) morning.
At the same time, the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board financed the construction of the mortuary, gate and road of Bandarban Central Cemetery at a cost of Tk 50 lakhs, the construction of drains from the front of Sadar Hospital to Kang Mor at a cost of Tk 4.65 lakhs, the construction of the Bandarban District Bus Terminal building at a cost of Tk 1.50 lakhs. And inaugurated the foundation stone of construction of Bandarban District Bus Terminal Mosque at a cost of Tk 50 lakhs.
Earlier, the Minister also inaugurated the construction of Hospital Road, one of the main roads of the city, at a cost of Tk. 69 lakhs funded by the Bandarban Municipality.
Hills Minister Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh said that road renovation work is being done by the initiative of Bandarban Municipality to alleviate the long-term public suffering. He thanked Acting Mayor Saurabh Das Shekhar for this.
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very sincere about the development of Bandarban. He appealed to everyone to maintain this trend of development in the future by keeping the harmony intact.
