Dhaka Bureau: The government has brought major changes to the top secretaries of the administration, including additional secretaries, joint secretaries, and deputy secretaries. Three secretaries have been transferred and given the responsibility of other ministries and departments with the same status. On the other hand, the Additional Secretary attached to the Finance Department, Najma Mubarek, has been promoted and given the responsibility of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs. This information was given in several notifications from the ministry on Monday (June 5).
Bangladesh Institute of Administration and Management (BIAM) Foundation Director General (DG) Abdullah Al Hasan Chowdhury and Food Directorate Director General (DG) Sheikh Mojibur Rahman have received Secretary status (Grade-1). At the same time, they have been made special officers of the Ministry of Public Administration.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Jahangir Alam has been appointed Director General of Bangladesh Television.
Mohammad Musa, Joint Secretary of Health Education and Family Welfare Department, Member of Bangladesh Land Port Authority, Najma Sheikh, attached to Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Member of NTRC, Ahsan Kabir, Joint Secretary of Health Education and Family Welfare Department, Director of BCC, Director of BRDB, Md. Ismail Hossain has been appointed as the Director of Land Records and Survey Directorate, Abu Hena Mostafa Zaman, Joint Secretary attached to Public Security Department, as Director of Bangladesh Tourism Board, and Vipul Chandra Biswas, Joint Secretary of Agriculture Ministry, as Director of Disaster Management Directorate.
Health care department joint secretary Parvez Rahim, DNA Laboratory Management Directorate General; NTRCA Member Shaukat Iqbal Shaheen, Director General IMED; and Agriculture Ministry Joint Secretary Faiz Ahmed, appointed as Additional Director General Narcotics Control Directorate.
In a separate notification, three officers of the rank of Joint Secretary have been made special charge officers of the Ministry of Public Administration.
Another notification informed me that seven officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary have been transferred to various ministries, departments, and offices.
