Bandarban representative: Tracts and education are needed in remote hilly areas to continue the development of Chittagong Hill Tracts. With the aim of building friendship and trust among the people, the building of the newly constructed Jinameju Orphanage High School was inaugurated by Lt. Col. Md. Sabbir Hasan, PSC, Zone Commander of the Army, 31 Bir Alikadam, to spread light and common sense among the Bangladesh Army. Jinameju High School of Lama Upazila was inaugurated on Sunday (May 28) morning.

Zone Commander Lama congratulated all those present on the occasion of the inauguration of Jinmeju High School in Banpur area of Fansiakhali Union Parishad of Upazila.
He said that the then zone commander Lt. Col. Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman felt the need for an educational institution to spread education in the PSC area and took the initiative to establish the institution. Later Nandan Mala Bhante, Jinameju took special initiative to establish this school. You must be aware that the construction of this school was started under the overall supervision of Alikadam Zone to improve the quality of education of neglected and underprivileged students in Banpur-Sangu Mauza.
The zone commander said, education is an invaluable asset. The role of education is essential for the growth and development of a nation. Education is the backbone and prerequisite of a nation. Just as people cannot move without backbone, a nation cannot climb the pinnacle of development without education. There is no hellish curse on human life and national life like illiteracy. Education helps to make people into real people.
The chief guest also said that illiteracy is the enemy of the society, the enemy of the country, the enemy of the nation. The people of the country should be educated for the development of the motherland. The more educated the nation, the more prosperous the nation. So we need to invent ways to make education accessible and reach every person’s doorstep. Only then the people of the country will be educated in ideal education. And if the people are educated, the country and the nation will reach the peak of development. He expressed hope that the school will become a beautiful institution with your help.
He said, you will be happy to know that all the students of that area will get the opportunity to study in this institution. You know that Alikadam zone has been providing monthly donations for the food bills of Alikadam Murong Complex students including 22 educational institutions, teachers, poor and needy families and various madrasahs, orphanages, schools, colleges of Alikadam and Lama Upazila.
So far, under the direct and indirect supervision of Alikadam zone, more than 15 educational institutions including Maitri and Pratyayi schools have been constructed in different places of Alikadam and Lama upazilas. Apart from this, all the camps under Alikadam zone are providing financial assistance to the needy.
