The Crime Desk: Cyclone ‘Mokha’ is approaching the coast of Bangladesh in a very strong form. In such a situation, distress signal number 10 has been announced at Cox’s Bazar sea port. On the other hand, Chittagong and Payra seaports have been asked to show distress signal number 8.

On Saturday (May 13), State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman said that the cyclone Mokha will not turn into a super cyclone due to the decrease in wind speed. It will strike as a very severe cyclone.

He also said that the cyclone will hit Cox’s Bazar and Myanmar between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday (May 13). Due to this, there may be 6 to 9 feet of high tide in Cox’s Bazar, Teknaf, and St. Martin, and 3 to 4 feet in Bhola and Barguna.

Stating that the ministry has taken all kinds of preparations to deal with Mokha, he said that 1600 shelters in Cox’s Bazar have been kept ready. 14 tons of dry food have been sent here. The Army will work with all forces if necessary.
