Dhaka Bureau: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said that if the election is not fair, it will be postponed immediately. If any agent is obstructed in the polling ground, the candidature will be cancelled.
He said this during an exchange of views with the candidates at the Shahid Ahsan Ullah Master Auditorium in Gazipur city on Wednesday (May 10) at noon.
Kazi Habibul Awal said that when the game is played on the field, both sides have to play. If I distribute black money, another person should try to prevent this distribution of black money as far as possible. The election commission comes, the police come, and they can’t do it overnight. It is not possible for the Election Commission to solve hundreds of thousands of problems.
Pointing out that there is still a lot of bad and black culture in the electoral system of the country, the CEC said we have to gradually come out of this black culture.
Seeking everyone’s cooperation to make the election festive, he said that the vote of this city (Gazipur) is important to stop the criticism of the outside world. CCTV cameras will be used in 480 centers of the city during EVM polling on May 25.
