Note that a place for a shelter project is seen in Nishchintapur village. The place is government Khas land in BS records but privately owned land in SA records. There was a dispute between the local administration and the local residents. On Thursday afternoon, the local people were holding a human chain program against the shelter project, claiming ownership of that land. After receiving this news, UNO went there with Ansar and policemen. Ansar members tried to take the human chain banners from the women. At that time, they had a fight with the women. Ansar members hit some women with rifle butts. After announcing it on the microphone, the locals came to the spot and attacked. UNO and some Ansar members were injured. Angry locals then vandalized UNO’s car. Later, police and the local UP chairman reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
