Sukanth Bikash Dhar, Satkania: A center secretary for the ongoing Dakhil examination has been relieved of duty due to negligence at the examination center in Satkania. The incident took place at Satkania Dakhil Examination Center-1, Satkania Mahmudul Uloom Senior Fazil Madrasa Center of the upazila, last Sunday. Principal Arifur Rahman Chowdhury is the relieved center secretary. He is the principal of Keranihat Jameul Uloom Islamia Fazil Madrasa. Ghiyas Uddin, principal of Chadaha Mohammadia Khairiya Madrasa, has been given the responsibility of the new center secretary in this center. UNO has issued a show cause notice today (Tuesday) to Monirul Islam, the acting principal of Satkania Mahmudul Ulum Sr. Fazil Madrasa, the main accused in the incident.
According to Satkania Upazila Nirbahi Officer office sources, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Fatema-Tuz-Zohra visited Satkania Mahmudul Ulum Sr. Fazil Madrasa in the morning last Sunday (May 7). That day was a math test. Meanwhile, UNO saw a person inside the center looking at an exam question on the balcony outside the room. Later, after knowing the identity of that person, it was known that he was the acting principal of that center and madrasa, Monirul Islam. UNO inquired about the matter from the Central Secretary, but he could not give any reply. Later, it is known that this year his (Monirul Islam’s) child is giving Dakhil examinations in this center. According to the rules, if a teacher’s child appears and participates in the SSC exam, then that teacher will not be able to perform any responsibility in the exam that year. However, as he broke the rules and stayed at the center, the center secretary was relieved of duty, and the acting principal was given a show-cause notice.
Satkania upazila executive officer Fatema-Tuz-Zohra said that the central secretary has been dismissed and a new central secretary has been appointed. He is currently conducting the exam. Apart from this, the Acting Principal of Satkania Mahmudul Uloom Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa has been given a show cause notice today (Tuesday) due to his position at the center without any responsibility. It has been asked to respond to this notice within the next three working days.
