Madaripur representative: At least 10 people, including two policemen, were injured in a clash between two sides over dominance in Madaripur. The police have detained one person for questioning.
The clash took place on Monday (May 8) around 9 p.m. in the Pakdi area of Ward No. 7 of Madaripur Municipality.
Inspector (Investigation) of Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station Aminul Islam said that there was a dispute between Jamal Mridha and Shahadat Hawladar about supremacy. At night, their people quarreled over the sharing of money from a function. Later, they clashed with indigenous weapons. After receiving information about the clash, we tried to deal with the situation with additional police. At this time, the police fired tear gas and blank bullets. Two policemen were injured by brick and stone pelting from both sides.
At this time, one person has been detained on the scene for questioning. This police officer said that legal action has been taken in this regard.
