Bandarban Correspondent: There was an incident of firing between the hill-armed organization UPDF Democratic Party and the Mog Force in Rawangchari Upazila of Bandarban. The police recovered the bullet-riddled bodies of three people from the surrounding hills.
This incident happened on Monday (May 8) afternoon. The deceased are Sadar Union Ward No. 5 Awami League President Nemthang Bom and the drivers of the rented motorcycle, Lal Lian and Sim Lian.
According to the law and order forces and the locals, due to the spread of dominance, there was a shootout between the armed organization United Democratic Front (UPDF) and the Mog Liberation Party (Mog Bahini) in the Paikhyang neighborhood of Sadar Union of Rowangchari Upazila. In the morning, there were intermittent firings between the gunmen of both sides of the armed organizations. On receiving the news, the army and law enforcement personnel took positions around the incident site.
Meanwhile, panic spread in the surrounding areas after the shooting. The workers stopped all types of vehicles. At that time, the police recovered the bullet-ridden bodies of three people from the nearby hills after receiving information from the locals.
