Chittagong’s traditional jabbar balikhela and fair started on April 25

Own Correspondent: Abdul Jabbar’s 114th Ballikhela and Boishakhi Mela will be held at Laldighi square of Chittagong city for three days from next Tuesday, April 25. On Wednesday (April 19) in the afternoon at the temporary office of the fair committee in Laldighi, Abdul Jabbar’s sacrifice game and Baisakhi fair were inaugurated, logo was inaugurated, trophy unveiling, press briefing and music video release ceremony was attended by the inaugural city mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury and other officials of the fair committee.

This information was confirmed by the president of the fair committee and Anderkilla ward councilor Jaharlal Hazari.

He said that Chittagong City Corporation Mayor M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury will hold a press briefing on the occasion of Jabbar’s 114th Balikhela and Baisakhi fair on Wednesday afternoon.

Councilor Jaharlal Hazari also said that the 114th Balikhela of historical Jabbar will be organized at Laldighi Chattar. The Boishakhi fair will continue for three days from April 25 to 27. Balikhela will be on 25th. Jabbar volley is not just a game, it is our tradition. We all need to cooperate to maintain this tradition.
However, in response to the question of how many days the fair will continue, Hazari said that since the city will be empty during Eid, there will be less traffic, so if the police accept it, the fair can continue for five days. Otherwise the fair will continue for three days.
