Kushtia Correspondent: The body of a businessman named Mustafa Molla (48) was recovered from the yard of a woman abandoned by her husband in Khoksa, Kushtia. The businessman’s family claims it was murder.
On Sunday morning, the police recovered the dead body of a woman named Aloka Rani Biswas, who was abandoned by her husband in Char Dashahunia village, Ward No. 8 of Janipur Union of the upazila.
Aloka has been in hiding since the businessman’s death. Later, the woman and her daughter, Purnima Biswas, were taken to the police station for questioning from the house of her son-in-law, Apu Biswas, in the same village.
The deceased businessman Mustafa Molla is the son of Firoz Molla of North Kesmat Mazail, Ward No. 5 of Kalimahar Union of Pangsha Upazila. He was a brick and timber merchant.
Villagers said that on Saturday night, there was a religious ceremony on the occasion of reaching the newly built house of Aloka Rani Biswas, the new settlement of Char Dashahunia village. in the morning
The sound of crying started coming from the house before the light came on.
After a while, news of the businessman’s death spread. Later, the police recovered the body from the scene. At the same time, Aloka and her daughter Purnima, who had been abandoned by her husband, were taken to the police station.
The deceased’s father, old Firoz Molla, said that his son had a dispute with local influential people over business. He already has that too.
The authorities have repeatedly threatened to take Mustafa and his eldest son, Amirul. He refused to name the influencers for the sake of the case.
Police Station OC Mustafa Habibullah said that a death case has been registered in this regard. The family of the slain businessman filed a written complaint. Aloka and her daughter Poornima admit to bringing Biswas to the police station for questioning. They also said that they were in police custody. The OC said that the incident is being investigated.
