Satkania Correspondent: South Chittagong’s Satkania Thana police arrested two drug dealers with 2,100 pieces of yaba. They are Bashir Ahmad, son of Ward No. 6 Baharchhara of Cox’s Bazar Teknaf. Abdul Karim (56), son of Marisbunia Bashir Ahmad of the same union Abhar Uddin (24).
They were sent to jail by the court on Monday (April 17) afternoon. Earlier on Sunday, around 1.30 am, the police searched the car in front of Janar Kenochia Adarsh High School, north of Keranihat on Chittagong Cox’s Bazar Highway, and arrested them.
The Satkaniya police officer-in-charge (OC), Mohammad Yasir Arafat, said that two people, including Yaba, were arrested from the Keochia Khuni Battal area of the highway on Sunday night. A case has been registered under the Narcotics Control Act at the Satkania police station in this incident. They were sent to jail by the court on Monday afternoon.
