Dhaka Bureau: Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of historic Mujibnagar Day.

After paying tribute to the Prime Minister, the members of the Awami League and its affiliates and fraternal organizations paid tribute to Bangabandhu by placing flowers on his portrait. At this time, the area became lively with slogans.
It should be noted that today is historic Mujibnagar Day. On this day of Agnijhra in 1971, the swearing-in of the first cabinet of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was held as a beacon for the Bengali nation affected by the invading forces.
On this day, the grave of an integral Pakistan was marked by reading the oath of the government and the declaration of independence. A new history of independent Bangladesh was written. After nine months of armed liberation war, the independent and sovereign People’s Republic of Bangladesh took its place on the world map.
