Dhaka Bureau: Founder and Trustee of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Vir Muktijoddha Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury’s body will be kept at the Central Shaheed Minar in the capital from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday for people from all walks of life to pay their respects. After paying tribute at Shahid Minar, Dr. Suhrawardy Udyan at 2.30 pm Zafrullah Chowdhury’s first funeral will be held. His body will be taken to the public health center in Savar at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, to pay his respects. His second funeral will be held there after Friday prayers. The body of 81-year-old Zafrullah Chowdhury has been kept in Bardem’s freezer since he died at the Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in Dhanmondi on Tuesday at around 11 p.m.
Professor Altafun Nescha, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Gonoshasthaya Kendra and convenor of the Tribute Committee, announced the schedule of funerals and tributes to the late Zafrullah Chowdhury at a press conference at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in Dhanmondi on Wednesday.
