Dhaka Bureau: Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has launched ‘Eid Special Service’ on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, like last year, to ensure an easy and comfortable journey for people at home. This ‘Eid Special Service’ will start on April 14. Eid service buses will run until April 23.
Arrangements have been made to sell advance tickets on these routes (from Dhaka): Motijheel, Joarsahara, Kalyanpur, Gabtali, Mohammadpur, Mirpur, Jatrabari, Gazipur, and Narayanganj Bus Depot (Chashara) in Dhaka.
On the Dhaka-Khulna, Daudkandi, Damudya, Khaserhat, Dinajpur, Rangpur, and Netrakona routes under the control of Motijheel Bus Depot; under the control of Kalyanpur Bus Depot Dhaka-Bhanga Rangpur, Panchagarh, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Kushtia, Rajshahi, Naogaon, Netrakona, Ranishangkail, Thakurgaon, Dinajpur route; On Dhaka-Bhanga, Gopalganj, Barisal, Dashmina (Patuakhali), Aricha, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Aricha and Paturia, Jessore routes under the control of Gabtali depot; On Dhaka-Poysarhat, Bishwaroad-Panchdona, Rangpur, Naogaon, Jaipurhat, Tangail, Mymensingh and Bogra routes under the control of Jorsahara Bus Depot; Dhaka-Barisal, Rangpur, Kushtia, Bogra, Kurigram, Dinajpur, Mymensingh and Naogaon routes under the control of Mirpur Bus Depot; Under the control of Mohammadpur Bus Depot on Dhaka-Shariatpur, Faridpur, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Bogra and Naogaon routes; Gazipur Bus Depot under the control of Bishwaroad-Panchdona, Tangail, Netrakona, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon and Kurigram routes; Dhaka-Rangpur, Shariatpur route under the control of Jatrabari Bus Depot; On Dhaka-Gosairhat, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Naogaon, Bogra, Gaibandha and Pabna routes under the control of Narayanganj Bus Depot; Narsingdi Bus Depot will operate on Narsingdi-Madaripur, Charmuguria, Rangpur route.
Passengers are requested by Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) to take the services of BRTC’s “Eid Special Service.”
To facilitate the movement of passengers, 60 buses will be on standby at various depots and terminals in Dhaka from April 18 to provide emergency services at these depots and places: Syedabad Bus Terminal, Mirpurs No. 12 Mirpur Bus Depot, in front of Kalyanpur Bus Depot, Navinagar, in front of Motijheel Bus Depot, Mohakhali Bus Terminal, Joarsahara Bus Depot, Mohammadpur Bus Depot, Gazipur Chowrasta, Hemayetpur Bus Stand, and Chandra Bus Stand.
