Earlier, on the morning of April 6, when Alim went to give his first Arabic exam at Sonagazi Islamia Fazil Madrasa Center, he was called from the hall and taken to the roof of the third floor of the adjacent building, and because he did not agree to withdraw the case filed against the principal of the madrasa, Siraj Ud-Daula, he was poured kerosene oil on him and set on fire. 85 percent of his body was burned. He died on April 9 at 9:30 p.m. in the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
