Chauddagram representative: Suraiya (18) and her family were attacked for not agreeing to the proposal.
Suraiya told reporters that Suraiya and her sister worked in the Aman Ganda Gem Factory of Comilla Chouddagram Upazila due to stomach problems. After a few days, Ramiz Uddin and Nazim, Riaz and Ahsan of Shalu Kia village made a bad offer while going to the factory. In this way every day Suraiya has been using different bad language.
As Suraiya protested, defendant Gangra beat Suraiya and Suraiya’s husband and severely injured Suraiya. Later, people from the neighborhood came and Suraiya was admitted to Chouddagram Government Hospital. Suraiya became the plaintiff and filed a complaint against 4 people in Chauddagram police station. The plaintiffs said that they have not received the cooperation of the administration so far despite making a complaint.
Based on this allegation, the defendant Gong attacked Suraiya and his family at the plaintiff’s house on the 15th. The plaintiff said that currently Suraiya is unable to go to work.
Suraiya also said that the defendants have been threatening to kill us. So we are making another complaint to the police station. Even after making two complaints, the administration did not take any role.
Residents told this reporter that the defendants are all drug dealers. They have made billions in drug trade. Complaining to the police station will not help. The hands of the drug dealers are very long, so the people of the area do not say anything because of their fear. The residents of the area demand that the administration should punish the drug dealers very quickly.
Shubo Ranjan Chakma, officer-in-charge of Chauddagram police station, said, we have received a complaint. The accused will be brought to justice through proper investigation.
