Dhaka Bureau: The Bangladesh Primary Teachers’ Association has demanded five points, including fixing the salary of assistant teachers in 10th grade and head teachers in 9th grade. The teacher leaders made this demand at a press conference organized at the Dhaka Reporters Unity auditorium on Saturday, April 8.

They are the quick announcement of the 9th pay scale and payment of 50% dearness allowance before it, canceling the proposal to give the current duties of data entry operators working in the Upazila Resource Center to the post of assistant instructor, considering the job of primary teachers as non-vocational, and promotion from assistant teachers to the post of head teacher. And appointing head teachers to the post of assistant upazila education officer on the basis of merit.
