Those arrested are Dr. Nurse Shirina Akhter of Keramat Ali Hospital and Diagnostic Center, Nanny Dipali Rani Das and Cashier Md. Zahid Khan
OC Syed Mizanur Islam said that on March 18, Dr. Taj Nahar, wife of Shukur Ali of Nazirpur area of the upazila, underwent surgery at Keramat Ali Hospital and Diagnostic Center. After the surgery, the newborn baby was not crying, so the hospital authorities gave him a traditional beating. At this time, two legs of the newborn were burnt due to extra heat.
Shukur Ali, the father of the newborn baby, filed a written complaint with the police station accusing four people in this incident and three people were arrested on Monday night. Dr. involved in the incident. He said that efforts to arrest Mahmuda Sultana Saki are continuing.
