Let robotics be the tool of the 4th industrial revolution in Bangladesh: Muhammad Munir Chowdhury

Lohagara representative: Robotics education and its use should be spread from every city to village level in Bangladesh. At this stage robotics will become one of the main tools of the 4th industrial revolution of Bangladesh. To meet the challenges of the 4th industrial revolution in Bangladesh, robotics institutes should be established in every department, district and upazila and expanded. Only then will this revolution succeed. National Science and Technology Museum is working to spread robotics education by organizing various trainings, seminars and olympiads all over Bangladesh.

Muhammad Munir Chowdhury, Director General of National Science and Technology Museum, said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the event organized on the occasion of Science and Robotics held in Lohagara, South Chittagong, on Saturday, November 5.

Lohagara upazila executive officer Sharif Uliah presided over the day-long two-part event. The program was organized at Mustafa Begum Girls School and College ground of Upazla Sadar. The Olympiad was organized by the Lohagara Upazila Administration under the sponsorship and funding of the National Science and Technology Museum. Research Lab Chittagong was in charge of organizing the event.

Upazila Parishad Chairman (Acting) M. Ibrahim Kabir spoke as the chief guest in the 2nd phase, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Shahjahan, Chief Advisor of Research Lab Chittagong Dr. Mohiuddin Mahi, Lohagara Police Station Officer Incharge Atiqur Rahman, Alhaj Mostafizur Rahman University College Principal AKM Fazlul Haque Chowdhury, Amirabad Sufia Alia Madrasa Principal Shahdat Hossain, Lohagara Press Club President Birmuktijoddha Nurul Islam, General Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, Lohagara Upazila Science and Technology Club General Secretary Md Elias, Research Lab Chittagong Founder Director Engineer Jahed Hossain Noble and Chief Coordinator Sukant Sharma Shiplab and others.

Apart from general education, the Olympiad program was organized with the aim of making the current generation more science-oriented and robotics. Students and parents of 58 educational institutions of the upazila participated in the event. Among them, many students of 27 educational institutions participate in various competitions in the Olympiad program.

The day-long Science and Robotics Olympiad featured National Science and Technology Museum Musebus Exhibition, Robotics Quiz Competition, Robot Project Showcasing Competition, Robot Making Workshop, Football Competition and Drone Show. Finally, prizes are distributed among the winners who participated in the competition.
