Anwara representative: The Anwara Journalists Association (ASAS) has completed the reception ceremony for veterans of Anwara and working journalists in Dhaka. On Sunday, March 2, at 5 p.m. in the upazila hall, a reception and iftar mahfil were held for senior and accomplished journalists. The grand event has turned into a meeting of old and young journalists.
Anwara Upazila Chairman Touhidul Haque Chowdhury was the chief guest at the reception and iftar ceremony under the chairmanship of Journalist Association President Rupon Dutt and General Secretary Enamul Haque Nabid. The chief negotiator was Prof. Pradeep Chakraborty, former chairman of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Chittagong Education Board. Veteran journalist M Anwarul Haque and accomplished journalists Tauhidur Rahman and Shiponkar Sheel were the guests of welcome.

The chief negotiator, former chairman of the Chittagong Education Board, Professor Pradeep Chakraborty, said that today’s felicitation ceremony with the journalists of the Anwara Journalists Association will serve as a milestone for the working journalists of Anwara. We believe that your mass-oriented journalism will play a milestone role in the development of Anwara. This reception of journalists will create a mutual bond.
Bir Muktijoddha Barumchara Union Chairman Shamsul Islam Chowdhury, Haildhar Union Chairman Kalim Uddin, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Ferdous Hossain, Anwara Press Club President M Nurul Islam, Anwara Journalist Union President Rafiqul Islam, and Anwara Business Association President Mamunur Rashid were present as special guests.
At the end of the ceremony, veteran journalist M Anwarul Haque of Anwara received the award as a veteran journalist, the general secretary of the Chittagong Journalist Forum Dhaka and senior reporter of Ekushey Television Touhidur Rahman, staff reporter of Dainik Bhorer Akash Shipangkar Sheel, and staff reporter of Dainik Zoran Alor received the award as a journalist. A family member, Vijay Barua, accepted the award on behalf of Senior Reporter Nipu Barua.
