Own Correspondent: Prices of almost all consumer goods have increased in the Chittagong market. The prices of rice and pulses, edible oil, onions, sugar, dates, chickpeas, vegetables, fish, and meat are now high in the wholesale and retail markets. Common people, including low- and middle-income people, are confused. Poor and lower middle-class people are suffering from the heat of commodity prices.

Habib, a resident of the Chawkbazar area of the city, said that the middle-class buyers have become helpless due to the increased prices of all kinds of consumer goods. The condition of low-income earners is even worse. Due to the syndicate of unscrupulous traders, the prices of products on the market are increasing abnormally.
