Comilla representative: AKM Bahauddin Bahar was elected as the new president in the tri-annual conference of Comilla Metropolitan Awami League. Arfanul Haque Rifat became the general secretary.
Awami League presidium member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Salim announced the name of the new president-general secretary from the conference organized at Comilla’s town hall ground on Saturday (November 5).
It is said that the new president-general secretary will form a full committee and send it to the Awami League president for approval soon.
Earlier, General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader inaugurated the Metropolitan Tri-Annual Conference at the town hall ground of Comilla city at 11 am on Saturday.
Comilla Awami League conference was presided over by Comilla-6 Constituency Member of Parliament Akam Bahauddin Bahar. Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif, Organizing Secretary Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Babu Sujit Roy Nandi, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Eng. Abdur Sabur and information and research editor Dr. Salim Mahmud.
