Md. Ayub Miyaji, Chandanish: Assistant Superintendent of Police (Circle) Kamrul Islam said, in order to protect the sanctity of Ramadan, social resistance should be developed to stop drugs, dishonest traders, and anti-social activities in the society.
He urged the businessmen to display the price list, keeping the price stable without making more profit. He called for a boycott of drug addicts by forming a social movement against drug addicts and drug dealers.
On March 30 (Thursday) at noon, a bit policing rally was held at Barkal Maulvi Bazar square of the upazila with the slogan “Bit Policing Bari Bari, Safer Samaj Gari.”
Assistant Superintendent of Police (Circle) Kamrul Islam was the chief guest in the meeting presided over by local chairman Khorshed Alam Titu.
SI Ikhteyar participated in the discussion, as did business leaders Jasim Uddin, Mahmudul Hasan, Shubul Kumar Dev, Mao. Abdul Mobin, and Md. Jasim Uddin, along with business representatives and bit policing leaders.
Leaders of the Barkal Maulvi Traders Association, Kalihat Traders Association, Satghatia Pukur Par Traders Association, and Dhamairhat Traders Association, as well as public representatives, media workers, and dignitaries, were present at the rally.
