Dhaka Bureau: A case has been filed against Prothom Alo newspaper editor Matiur Rahman under the Digital Security Act at Ramna police station in the capital. Savar’s own reporter, Shamsuzzaman of Prothom Alo, has also been accused in this case. Also among the accused, an unnamed accused has been kept along with the ‘assistant cameraman’.
The case was filed on March 29 at midnight. A Supreme Court lawyer named Abdul Malek alias Moshiur Malek filed the case as the plaintiff. Abdul Malek confirmed this to the media.

Earlier on Wednesday (March 29), another case was filed against Shamsuzzaman under the Digital Security Act at the Tejgaon police station in the capital, accusing him of publishing news with ‘false and fabricated’ information on Independence Day.
