Bandarban Correspondent: Two people were killed in an attack by wild elephants in Lama upazila of Bandarban district. One person was injured in this incident. This incident took place in Sohran neighborhood of Lamar Aziz Nagar today Friday (04 November) afternoon. The deceased are Khodeja Bibi (65) and Amir Ali (73), wife of deceased Fajr Ali, resident of Sohrab Para. The name of the injured person is Bayati (65). Lamar divisional forest officer. Ariful Haque Belal confirmed the truth of the incident.

Local people said that a group of elephants came to Sohrab Para from Goheen Hills on Friday afternoon and ran rampant. Khodeja Bibi died on the spot when she fell into the clutches of the elephant while moving to a safe place to escape the elephant’s rampage. Amir Ali and Bayati were seriously injured. When they were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, Amir Ali also died there.
