Tribute to the father of the nation on the occasion of March 7 of Chandnaish Upazila Chhatra League

Md. Ayub Miyaji, Chandanish: Bangladesh Chhatra League in Chittagong, under the leadership of Alamgirul Islam, president of Chandanish Upazila Chhatra League, paid deep respect to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of historical March 7. At 10 o’clock in the morning of March 7, the leaders and workers paid tribute by placing wreaths on the portrait of the Father of the Nation at the Chandnish Upazila Parishad auditorium.
On this day in 1971, Bangabandhu, in his fiery and vivid historic speech, called upon the people to continue their struggle against the Pakistani invaders to achieve their long-cherished independence.

On March 7, 1971, Bangabandhu declared independence in a rally at the then Race Course Maidan (now Suhrawardy Udyan) before millions of freedom-loving people. He said, ‘This time’s struggle is our liberation struggle; this time’s struggle is the struggle for freedom.’
The historic March 7 speech of the Father of the Nation was included in the “Memory of the World International” register by UNESCO on October 30, 2017 as an important document of the world’s documentary heritage.

Chinen Chandnaish Upazila Chhatra League former joint convener Masud Chowdhury, Zamir Uddin Sagar, Ifteker Alam Sajib, Mohammad Hossain, Naeem Bhuiyan, Abshar Farubi, Sohel Rana, Mamun, Jisan, Sadek, Tushar, Arju, Arma, Rani, Minhaj were present during the tribute.
