Khagrachari Correspondent: A truck loaded with stone fell into the river after the mine bridge collapsed at Dighinala in Khagrachari. Sajek-Dighinala road communication is cut off, and traffic is stopped. This incident happened on Tuesday, March 7, at 10:30 a.m.
It is reported that at 10 a.m., a drum truck carrying 27 tons of stones was crossing the bridge, and the bridge, along with the truck, collapsed and fell into the river. However, no casualties occurred in this incident. After the incident, about half a hundred vehicles were stranded on both banks. Due to this, return tourists have suffered in Sajek.
Dighinala Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Arafatul Alam said that the bridge has been repaired as soon as possible and traffic has been requested. As an alternative, arrangements have been made for tourists returning to Sajek to cross through the footbridge at Thana Bazar.
