Entertainment Desk: The court has postponed the date of taking evidence in the case of beating, threats, and sexual harassment by Pari Mani until May 23.
On Monday (March 6), the case was to be heard in the court of Judge Mohammad Hemayet Uddin of the Dhaka Women and Children Suppression Tribunal-9. However, Pari Mani did not appear in court to testify. His lawyer applied for time. The court granted the time request and fixed this date for taking the evidence. Pari Mani testified in this case on November 29, last year.
The accused in the case are Nasir Uddin, Tuhin Siddiqui Ami, and Shahidul Alam. On this day, they appeared in court. On May 18 of last year, the court charged the accused and ordered the trial to begin.
On June 14, 2021, Pari Mani filed a case with the Savar police station of Dhaka, mentioning the names of Nasir Uddin and Ami and making four unknown accused.
After investigating the case, on September 6, 2021, Inspector Kamal Hossain of Savar police station filed a charge sheet against three people, including Nasir.
