Sunamganj Correspondent: Water Resources Ministry Secretary Nazmul Ahsan visited the Haor crop protection dam built under the Water Development Board at Shantiganj in Sunamganj.
On Sunday (March 5) morning, he visited the Khai Haor crop protection dam of the upazila.
During the visit, Secretary Nazmul Ahsan said that the present government is sincere in protecting the boro crops of Haor region farmers. Adequate allocations have been made for dams. So far, the dam is working as expected. The secretary also said that necessary action will be taken against those concerned if there is any kind of negligence or irregularity in the work of Howre Dam to protect crops.
He expressed satisfaction at the progress of dam work in the upazila and urged completion of the necessary work to protect the dam.
