Patuakhali Correspondent: Members of Animal Lovers of Patuakhali have released five snakes in the forest after being rescued from Kuakata in Patuakhali.

The snakes were released at Jhowne, adjacent to the beach, around noon on Wednesday (March 1).

Animal Lovers of Patuakhali branch team leader Musa, Kalapara branch team leader Rakayet Ahsan, member Abdul Qayyum, and forest staff of Mahipur Forest Department were present.

After investigation, it was learned that the snakes were recovered from a sapur named Alamgir in front of the Patuakhali Lawyers Association on Tuesday afternoon. Later, the sapuria was released after promising not to catch a snake.

Members of Animal Lovers of Patuakhali said that among the five snakes released were two highly venomous Padma Gokhra, one Kal Nagini, and two non-venomous Daras snakes.

Rakayet Ahsan, team leader of the Animal Lovers of Kalapara branch, said that we are working as volunteers for wildlife conservation. Earlier, we rescued several species of animals, including snakes, monkeys, birds, and forest cats, and released them into the forest.

Patuakhali district forest department forest conservator Tariqul Islam said that the forest department has assisted the members of Animal Lovers of Patuakhali in rescuing the snake. The forest department is active in wildlife conservation.
