Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Two members of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) were arrested in a joint operation by RAB and 8 APBN in Ukhiya Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar.
The Assistant Superintendent of Police and Senior Assistant Director (Law and Media) of Cox’s Bazar RAB-15 said that they were detained from Camp-8 East and Camp-9 areas on Tuesday (February 28). Abu Salam Chowdhury.
Faizul Islam (34), son of deceased Saleh Ahmad and resident of Balukhali Rohingya Camp-8 East, Ukhia, was arrested, as was Ibrahim (30), son of Abu Bakkar Siddique and resident of Rohingya Camp No. 19.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Cox’s Bazar RAB-15 said that two active members of ARSA were arrested in a joint operation of RAB and APBN in Ukhia Thana Camp-8 East and Camp-9 areas on Tuesday. Both of them have been handed over to the Ukhia police station for any necessary legal action in the case under investigation.
Sheikh Mohammad Ali, OC of Ukhia police station, said that the legal system is in the process of filing a case against the detainees.
