Dhaka Bureau: The result of scholarship examination of fifth grade students of government primary schools will be published next Tuesday (February 28). However, if the situation is favourable, the results may be declared tomorrow, Monday.
On Sunday (February 26), sources from the Department of Primary Education said that it has been decided to publish the results of the primary scholarship examination within the next two-one days. Scholarship exam results are available on the website of the Department of Primary Education. Besides, the result of the scholarship will also be known from the concerned institution.
Shah Rezwan Hayat, director general of the Directorate of Primary Education, said that the results of the scholarship examination will be published in one or two days. However, the results are more likely to be released next Tuesday.
This time, 82,500 students will receive scholarships at the primary school level. Out of this, 33 thousand students in talent pool and 49 thousand 500 students in general grade will get scholarship. In the case of talent pool scholarships, 50 percent of the total scholarship will be given to male students and 50 percent to female students based on the number of students participating in the upazila-based primary education final examination. Scholarship holders in talent pool will get Rs.300 per month and general grade will get Rs.225 per month.
On December 30, the scholarship examination of primary students was held. After 13 long years, government primary school students sat for the scholarship examination separately. The examination was conducted at various centers across the country. About 6 lakh students participated in it. The exam starts at 10 am. Ends at 12 noon.
Students participated in the 100 marks exam in Bengali, Mathematics, English, Science. The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education decided to give scholarships to students through this examination as the primary final examination was closed. 20 percent students from each school participate in the annual school assessment test.
