Entertainment Desk: The Chirkut Band has crossed two decades of success. On this occasion, the band organized a 20th anniversary celebration at the Dhaka University campus, where Chirkut was born. The celebration will continue with songs.
It has been reported that a special concert titled “TSC to Madison Square Garden” has been organized for Thursday, February 23, at 6 p.m. at Dhaka University’s gymnasium ground (Central Field).
From folk to rock, classical to country songs or films, Chirkut has delivered their sound there and won the audience’s love. That is why the band’s popular songs like “Ahare Jiban,” “Kanamachi,” “Magic City,” “Duniya,” “Ei Kadara Kaktao Jene Gaye,” and “Khajna” have become people’s daily companions. Chirkut performed at New York’s Madison Square to celebrate 50 years of Bangladesh’s independence last year. There, Chirkut achieved the rare honor of performing on the same stage as the world-famous band “Scorpions” at the “Golden Jubilee Bangladesh” concert.
Keeping that glorious moment in mind, Chirkut’s 20th anniversary concert has been named “TSC to Madison Square Garden.” During this event, stars from various fields will appear to wish Chirkut.There will be popular bands like Cryptic Faith, Ashes, Bangla Five, Kaktal, and Bangu Bibi. Their live performance will be accompanied by Durg, Coleslow, and Introit by the Dhaka University Band Society. Band stars Maqsudul Haque, Fawad Nasser Babu, Naqeeb Khan, Band Miles, actor Intekhab Dinar, Jaya Ahsan, Zakia Bari Mom, Imtiaz Barshan, and Nazia Haque Arsha will be the special guests. There are many other events at this music festival.
This concert is organized by Salt Creatives. The ticket price for the concert has been kept at 500 rupees. Chirkut band head Sharmin Sultana Sumi told fans, “TSC to Madison Square Garden” concert on Chirkut’s 20th anniversary, and relatives will sit in Dhaka University.
