Dhaka Bureau: The government has ordered the field-level government employees to stay in the office from 9:00 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. Instructions have recently been sent to all District Commissioners (DCs) and Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) from the Cabinet Department.

According to the instructions, field-level government officials and employees were instructed to stay in office rooms from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., except in cases of emergency. The activities of the field offices are regularly supervised by the Cabinet Division. Recently, many officials are not available in the office room on time to communicate with the field-level officials. As a result, it becomes impossible for the public to make necessary connections with officers or employees of other organizations.

As common citizens are affected by this, the speed of government work also slows down. In such a situation, in order to increase the mobility and coordination of government activities and the convenience of the citizens, the field-level officers and employees have been instructed to come to the office at 9:00 a.m. and stay at the office until 9:40 p.m. in the interest of the public.
