International Desk: Three Bangladeshi students were killed in a road accident in Toronto, Canada. Another person was seriously injured. The accident happened last Monday (February 13) at 11:30 p.m. local time.
On Tuesday (February 14), the Canadian media outlet CBC News reported that the accident happened on the Western Highway near Dundas Street in the province of Ontario on Monday night local time. Three people were killed. Another seriously injured person was taken to the hospital.
Ontario Provincial Police said in a tweet that the four occupants of the vehicle involved in the accident have been identified. They were living in Toronto on study permits or student visas from Bangladesh.
According to Pushil, a 20-year-old youth, a young woman, and a 17-year-old teenager died in the accident. A 21-year-old man in the driver’s seat remains in critical condition. The families of the victims have been informed about the accident.
Officials from the country’s health department confirmed that two people died on the spot in the accident, while the other two were taken to the hospital, where one died on Tuesday morning (February 14).
