On October 3, 2021, Akib, a second-year medical student, was hit with an iron rod and a knife, and his skull was broken. Later, he was kept in the ICU of Chamek Hospital and cured with treatment. Genius Akib’s head injury was so severe that a medical board consisting of expert doctors provided treatment for a long time. As the anger over this incident did not end, the students of the opposing group locked four students in the room again last Wednesday night. All the injured are MBBS 62nd batch students. Among the injured, Zahid Hossain and Shakib Hossain are undergoing treatment in the hospital’s ICU. M. Raihan and Mobaswir Hossain, who were injured, were sent to their village home after the incident. Dormitory supervisor Dr. Rizoar Raihan said that the four injured are legitimate students of the dormitory. After hearing the news, we went to the hostel and rescued the two injured people and admitted them to the hospital. No one else was injured.

Here, the Chhatra League, intern doctors, and college teachers are divided as followers of two leaders. There are many vested interests behind the dominance of the campus. Control of tenders for construction work, rigging of tenders for hospital purchases, extortion of private ambulances for patient transport, control of slips for purchasing medicines for patients in the ward, and extortion in various commercial establishments around the hospital A few medical students are involved in these misdeeds.
