Noakhali Correspondent: Noakhali University of Science and Technology stands beside the humanitarian crisis caused by the terrible earthquake in the southern part of Turkey. Today Saturday (February 11) on behalf of the university administration, the president of the proctor and teachers’ association, Professor Dr. Nawaz Mohammad Bahadur and Vice Chancellor’s Private Secretary Abu Zubair handed over the relief materials.
Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Nobiprabi Professor Dr. Md. Didar-ul-Alam has sent a condolence message to the Turkish Ambassador in Dhaka expressing his condolences to the victims of the earthquake.
In his condolence message, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor expressed deep grief and sorrow over the casualties in the earthquake and hoped for a speedy recovery from the disaster. At the same time, Nobiprobi’s ongoing friendly relationship with various universities in Turkey in terms of education and research will be strengthened in the future.
Meanwhile, to send the Noakhali University of Science and Technology to the earthquake-affected areas of Turkey and Syria, the support provided by the university’s teachers, students and officials and the Dhaka office of Turkey’s government organization Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) listed goods Nobiprobi. An initiative has been taken to send TIKA to Dhaka office under the supervision of International Collaboration Office.
These aids include winter clothes and medical supplies. A plan has been taken to provide such assistance in another step by February 20.
