Sukanth Bikash Dhar, Satkania: Aminul Islam Amin, the Awami League’s Central Committee Relief and Social Welfare Affairs Secretary, said that the BNP-Jamaat, being frightened by the development of the Awami League, wants to sabotage the upcoming elections by practicing the politics of violence again and creating an unstable situation in the country. BNP-Jamaat is causing unrest, and the Awami League has organized peace rallies across the country because it wants peace. The troublemakers will not be able to achieve their dreams if even one member of the Awami League is alive.
He said this in his address as the chief guest at a peace rally in the Keranihat area organized by Satkania Upazila Awami League this Saturday morning.
Aminul Islam said that after the killing of Bangabandhu, the BNP rewarded the murderers by posting them in various important places in the country and abroad. When Sheikh Hasina started bringing the war criminals to justice, the enemies of that country started plotting. Therefore, to keep the Awami League in power in the next election, it is not a leadership competition between the parties; the story of Sheikh Hasina’s development must be conveyed door to door by the party leaders and workers. It must be remembered that if the Awami League is not in power, not only the Awami League but also the common people of the country will not be spared from the terrorists’ fire.
Mofizur Rahman, general secretary of the South District Awami League, was the main speaker in the rally presided over by Upazila Awami League President MA Motaleb. Special guests at the rally included Upazila Awami League General Secretary Qutub Uddin Chowdhury, Member of Parliament for Chittagong-14 Constituency Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, District Awami League leader Md. Idris, and Mostak Ahmad Angur.
At this time, the upazila and union Awami League members and various union chairmen spoke: Advocate Ahmed Saifuddin Siddiqui, Haji Delwar Hossain, Md. Shahjahan, Abdul Mannan, Ochman Ali, A.F.M. Mahbubul Haque Sikder, A.N.M. Salim, Akhtar Hossain, Tapas Kanti Dutta,
AKM Morshed, AKM Asad, Abdul Ghafoor, and others are on the panel.
