Crime Reporter: CMP’s North and South Intelligence Division arrested 3 members of an inter-district thief gang with stolen 743 cartoon tiles and a covered van. They were arrested along with the goods by conducting a raid in CRB Railway area under Kotwali police station of the city yesterday. The arrested are Md. Mizanur Rahman Prof. Abdur Rahman, Md. Zakir Hossain and Md. Shahjahan.
Under the overall direction of Metropolitan Intelligence (North & South) Deputy Commissioner of Police Nihad Adnan Tayana, under the leadership of Police Inspector Ripon Kumar Das, the special team members conducted a tip-off operation in CRB Railway area under Kotwali police station in the city and recovered 743 stolen cartoon tiles and 1 covered van. Md. Mizanur Rahman arrested Prof. Abdur Rahman, Md. Zakir Hossain and Md. Shahjahan.
In the interrogation of the arrested persons, it is known that the said tiles were loaded in a covered van from the factory of Star Ceramics Company under Madhavpur Thana of Habiganj district and reached to Hat Kohinoor Tiles of Companyganj Chowdhury of Noakhali district but they were brought to Chittagong in mutual consultation.
