Bangladeshi rescue team reached Adana Airport in Turkey

Desk News: Bangladeshi rescue team has arrived in Turkey to join the earthquake-ravaged rescue operations. They arrived at Adana Airport after a flight journey of about 24 hours. This information was known in a circular of the fire service headquarters on Friday (February 10) morning. The rescue team is 350 km from the airport. Departed by bus to far away Adiaman area.

It should be noted that there are 12 members of the fire service with the rescue team of Bangladesh going to Turkey for rescue work. who are trained to international standards.

Last Monday at 4:17 a.m. local time, the worst earthquake of this century hit the Turkey-Syria border region. Hundreds of aftershocks struck after the earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale. Some of these were quite powerful.

The lives of millions of people have been ruined by this terrible earthquake. Uncertainty is increasing as time goes on. Losing everything, many are spending the night under the open sky in disaster-prone areas. Severe cold and snow have appeared as a sore spot on the ground. Rescue work is going on despite severe winter. Rescue workers are continuing to search for lives in the rubble.

Gaziantep and surrounding areas in Turkey were devastated by the earthquake. In addition to the damage to houses, many highways collapsed in the earthquake. The communication system is broken. Due to which the rescue workers are unable to reach the remote areas of Hatay in Turkey and the city of Aleppo in Syria. The number of casualties is increasing due to not being able to start the rescue operation quickly.

As the communication infrastructure has been damaged, it is not possible to reach the affected areas even with relief aid. Residents of these areas are spending extremely inhumane days under the open sky after losing their homes.

In addition to Turkey, the situation is the same in the Syrian city of Aleppo. No vehicle can move due to collapse of various highways. In the war-torn country, the earthquake appeared as a death blow. A humanitarian crisis has arisen as relief aid does not reach.
