Dhaka Bureau: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has made it clear that law and order enforcement will take action if anyone sits on the streets in the name of agitation.
He said this to reporters after a program at the Criminal Investigation Department’s (CID) office in Malibag on Thursday, February 9, at noon.
Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that they should not do anything that annoys the people. We have no objection to them carrying out political programs. If they vandalize, set fire to things, or try to block roads by sitting in the name of movement, Then the law and order forces will do what they have to do.
When asked about the BNP-Awami League’s counter-program and Jamaat’s permission on February 11, the Home Minister said, “BNP is a political party.” It is natural that they will talk a lot before the election. Besides, there are other parties that can also present political programs.
He said, “If you talk about people’s safety today, then I will appeal to you (the mass media) not to create public suffering.” Do not block the roads. Do not disturb the movement of city dwellers.
